HILLBILLY TOUR 2012
September 5-9, 2012

Springfield, Missouri

Howdy Model T Owner:
You are invited to attend the 29th Annual Hillbilly Tour in Missouri’s Queen City of the Ozarks. Springfield is located in the southwest area of Missouri surrounded with many lakes and beautiful hills and hollers. This hub tour will be headquartered at the beautiful 3 Star University Plaza Hotel in historic Downtown Springfield. Call 417-864-7333   for reservations before August 1, 2012. Ask for the special Model T Ford Hillbilly Tour room rate of $82.00 plus tax which includes a complimentary hot breakfast buffet.
The tour will be limited to 100 cars. Attached are the Registration Forms and the Tour Vehicle Inspection Sheet. Again due to the condition of the economy, we have made a special effort to reduce the cost of the tour by trimming a few frills. This will not lessen the enjoyment of driving your Model T on the beautiful Missouri back roads or visiting with other hillbillies you see so often on these tours. Tour fees are $125 for Car and Driver and $100 for each passenger. If you intend to participate in the 2012 tour, please return these completed forms with your tour fees after January 1, 2012. Applications received prior to that date will not be accepted. Tour registration will be closed on July 1, 2012. The RV parks in the area are the Springfield KOA 417-831-3645 and Cook’s RV Park 417-833-1252.
Our Opening Ceremony includes an ice cream social  and meals include hot breakfast buffets with hotel room, lunch in the city of Ozark at Lambert’s Restaurant (home of the throwed rolls)  and another lunch location to be determined , the Closing Banquet where the dress is casual, patriotic, hillbilly or the favorite, Era Fashions. The Hillbilly Tour Hospitality Room will be available all week for snacks and refreshments.
If you’d like to officially become a “Hillbilly”, bring your best hillbilly outfit for the opening night. There’s nothing like a Hillbilly “fashion show” to start the week. All routes are not finalized but we will be travelling through our favorite Ozarks Hills n’ Hollers on scenic country roads, visiting interesting areas and of course the many antique shops along the way. We’ll also visit historic downtown Springfield, Wilson’s Creek Battlefield, Route 66 and the granddaddy of all Bass Pro Shops. If you enjoy fun days, good food, great roads and great friendships; the 2012 Hillbilly Tour is for you!
